East Texas Bed and Breakfast
Find southern hospitality at The Bird & Butterfly Inn in the heart of the East Texas Piney Woods. Each of our rooms is appointed to make you feel right at home, but better. At our house, some of the best sheets in the industry await you (literally, they’re called Comphy!), coffee and breakfast are made and waiting for you, and you can enjoy your second cup of coffee on the finest porch on the Angelina River while wood thrushes serenade you.
The Allison Suite
The Allison Suite is the epitome of a romantic Texas bed and breakfast guest room. This room has exceptional antique pieces, including a precious dressing table. An exterior door leads you to the porch, with a hanging swing bed.
The Rutledge Retreat
We’ve repurposed this large suite to be a guest room, and it now has a king bed with a fully upholstered suspended canopy and side curtains, a settee, a comfy reading chair, and a small desk. Did we mention the private patio outside the French doors and the huge his and hers bathrooms?
The Pullman Car Room
So named because Anne was inspired by the old Pullman train car sleeping berths, this charming room has four built in beds -two queen and two twin – and is perfect for a girls’ weekend or to be the kids’ bunkhouse during your family reunion.
Little White House
The Little White House just the ticket for a romantic Texas escape. This standalone cottage has a queen bed, romantic fireplace, several reading nook (or napping!) chairs, an armoire for clothes, and even a mini-fridge.
1901 Cabin
For your Texas cabin rental fix, may we present the 1901 Cabin. This rustic cabin has ample sleeping capability; a queen size bed in the upstairs loft and downstairs you’ll find a trundle day bed.
